What to expect
- This is the tour for those who don't want to miss out on anything - a full day that brings together city, ocean, culture, wine and tradition at the table.
- Aboard a classic VW from the 60s/70s, we start with the panoramic "From the Centre to the Atlantic" tour, where the city reveals itself in all its dimensions: the historic charm of Sé, Clérigos and São Bento, the postcard views from Jardim do Morro and Serra do Pilar, the modernity of Boavista, the freshness of Foz and the Atlantic soul of Matosinhos. Along the way, there's time to stop, photograph and feel every part of the city.
- At lunchtime, the destination is Matosinhos, the land of fresh fish. At the O Robalo restaurant, grilled wild sea bass takes centre stage, served with typical starters, fresh salads, chilled vinho verde and dessert - a lunch that reflects the essence of the Portuguese coast.
- Back in Gaia, we explore the vibrant WOW Cultural District, where you can choose one of the themed museums - be it chocolate, cork, wine or the history of the region - always with the same promise: to learn in an engaging way.
- Then the day takes on the tone of Fonseca's historic cellars, with more than two centuries of wine tradition. The guided tour reveals the secrets of production and ends with a tasting of the iconic Fonseca Bin 27, while the younger guests toast with Douro grape juice.
- To round off the experience, head to Taberninha do Manel, a Gaia classic since 1986. At the table, with a privileged view of the illuminated Port, come the snacks that tell the soul of the region: cheese and ham boards, codfish cakes, corn bread and olives, accompanied by three styles of Port wine - white, rosé and red.
- An intense but harmonious day, where each stage reveals a facet of Porto and its culture.
